The DVBIA Board of Directors relies on the expertise, enthusiasm and engagement of its members and partners to provide input and insight that helps the board make the most informed decisions. To support the Board is a Policy Advisory Council.
The Council acts as a consultative resource for the DVBIA Board of Directors on legislative and policy issues that relate to and impact downtown. Council members have expert knowledge and experience in policy development, advocacy, government relations, civic issues, transportation, governance, finance, among other skills.
The DVBIA is currently seeking candidates in the following sectors: retail, restaurant, arts and culture, hotel, transportation and technology. We encourage applications from all interested candidates, especially women, Aboriginal people, visible minorities, and members of the LGTBQ+ community.
The Council has set meetings throughout the year and requires advanced reading and preparation for these meetings.
To apply to join the Policy Advisory Council, complete and submit the Expression of Interest form by May 31.
