Jane’s Walk Your Way to Discovery

Mar 20, 2017

Whether the conversation is about art, architecture, soundscapes, diversity, history, nature, technology, cuisine or culture, every one of Vancouver's transforming neighbourhoods, including downtown, has a story to tell.

Jane's Walk is a movement of free, citizen-led walking tours inspired by Jane Jacobs. The walks get people to tell stories about their communities, explore their cities, and connect with neighbours.

Examples of past local walks include: Hidden Gems of UBC; Crowd-Sourced Walk of Gastown; Trees of Thornton Park; and a cycling alternative to a Broadway subway line.

Walkers are encouraged to engage in conversation about their passions and neighbourhoods. All are encouraged to become walk leaders, volunteers, or supporters by connecting to the Vancouver Jane's Walk website.

From May 5-7th, explore this phenomenal city and it’s hidden gems. Lead or join a Jane’s Walk to contribute to a city-wide dialogue about what our city needs and where it is headed.
