A pre-festival concert featuring Irish folk hero Damien Dempsey on March 5 will set the scene for the great entertainment to come. Music legends, The Irish Rovers perform on St. Patrick's Day, March 17 - a do-not-miss concert.
CelticFest's official kick-off features the rousing sounds of Halifax Wharf Rats March 10. March 11 marks the return of The Vancouver Welsh Men's Choir and, by popular demand, the CelticFest Ceilidh is back with a roster of Celtic music and dance gold March 12.CelticFest and the Rogue Folk co-present Irish accordion dynamo Sharon Shannon March 13.
Standing Room Only Theatre returns with the hilarious comedy Moll by award-winning Irish playwright John B Keane. Doolin’s Irish Pub (654 Nelson) hosts Doolin’s Irish Pub Whisky Tastings March 14, 15 & 16.
On the weekend of March 12-13, The Celtic Village returns to Granville Street between Robson & Nelson with music, dance, fun and frolic, food -- and great shopping, too! This FREE street fair features performances by some of BC’s finest Celtic music groups on Doolin’s Music Stage, swordplay in the Celtic Kids' Zone, and Tom Lee Music hosts a series of fascinating (and free) performances and workshops.
The wildly popular St. Patrick's Day Parade paints downtown Vancouver a glorious emerald green on Sunday March 13, starting at 11am. Follow the parade as it makes its away along Howe from Davie to Georgia Street.
Participating pubs and restaurants will present performances by musicians, bands and dancers up to and including St. Patrick's Day onMarch 17.
