cover poster for public art install

Urban Reef installed on Robson Street this Summer.

The Robson Redux design-build competition, part of VIVA Vancouver, received almost 80 submissions from around the world, including entries from Japan, Italy, Spain, the United States, and Chile.

A jury selected the winning design – Urban Reef – which will be built and installed this summer on 800-block Robson Street; the jury also chose two designs for honourable mention.

Though only the winning design selected by the jury will be built in 2014, the City is also giving a People’s Choice award, selected by the public through online voting: between April 3rd and April 13th, 20,175 votes were cast!

Spacing Magazine will publish the winning design entries in their Summer 2014 national edition.
