Points of View

To be installed in May 2008 at the southeast corner of Robson & Howe Streets.

In Vancouver, views towards the city sights and ocean are stunning from vantage points all over the city. But so too are views of downtown buildings from below. In this tile, mosaic artist Liz Calvin has cleverly juxtaposed the historic Sinclair Centre and a relatively newer tourist favorite: the impressive Top of Vancouver Lookout, as seen from Burrard and West Hastings streets. Neighbouring one of Vancouver’s oldest districts, the Lookout boasts 360-degree views from the top - the ideal place to create a lasting impression of the city’s distinctive architecture and mountain scenery.
