Located outside the Orpheum Theatre, 601 Smithe Street (northwest corner of Seymour and Smithe streets.)
Errol Flynn, Louis Armstrong and Red Robinson. All famous names and faces that have graced Vancouver’s performance scene and are now forever remembered in this mosaic tile. Red Robinson is in the background. He was Canada’s first rock ‘n roll DJ, and had the distinct honour to introduce Elvis to Vancouver in 1957. Featured on the right is the godfather of jazz, Louis Armstrong, who shared his unique sounds with Vancouver in the 50’s and 60’s. And in the foreground: Errol Flynn – made famous for his role in the 1938 film Robin Hood. Errol spent the final days of his life in Vancouver.
