Neon Nights To be installed in May 2008 at 510 Burrard Street (Southeast corner of Burrard & West Pender Streets)  This mosaic is a bright representation of one of Vancouver’s most glowing times in history – when the world’s largest display of neon signs graced almost every other business along the Granville strip. A few shining examples of this notable era still remain, and efforts to resurrect Vancouver’s neon heritage are now being made. In this dazzling mosaic, Liz Calvin and her team have created a collage of three momentous signs: The Orpheum Theatre, Vogue Theatre and Commodore Ballroom. Vancouver’s nightlife remains brighter than ever at these locales, hosting everything from Symphony performances and roaring comedy, to international musical guests and extraordinary theatre.
