Public Transit

A combination of bus, Seabus and train transit will enable you to reach downtown from any corner of Greater Vancouver and beyond.

The world's longest automated light rapid transit system or ‘Skytrain” moves customers quickly, efficiently and reliably across the region through 33 stations along the 49.5km of the Expo and Millennium lines. And the journey starts downtown at Waterfront, Burrard or Granville stations.

Transfers allow you to connect easily between the Seabus (coming from North Vancouver into downtown’s Waterfront Station), buses, Skytrain, West Coast Express commuter rail and HandyDART custom transit.

Construction of the Canada Line, which will run from Vancouver International Airport to downtown, is currently underway with a new Vancouver City Centre station to be located on West Georgia at Granville Streets. Canada Line, connecting to the existing Expo and Millennium lines, will be ready November 2009.
