Gateways
Downtown Vancouver is a peninsula. It’s easy to navigate with water on two sides (Coal Harbour and False Creek) and Stanley Park on a third.

Enter downtown via one of four major gateways.
From the West/North
Cross the Lion’s Gate Bridge and enjoy the scenic route via the Stanley Park Causeway onto West Georgia Street, a major thoroughfare into the city centre.
From the North
Take the TransLink Seabus from the Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver across the Burrard Inlet (it’s just a 12-minute ride) and arrive at the Waterfront Station/Seabus Terminal on West Cordova.
If you’re coming from downtown Victoria or other parts of the province, float planes take off and land in Burrard Inlet at the foot of Burrard Street.
If cruise ship is your mode of transportation, you’ll dock at Canada Place at the Port of Vancouver in the heart of downtown. You’ll be steps away from shops, restaurants and attractions when you disembark.
From the South
Greater Vancouver is a region of bridges. Coming into downtown from the south, cross either the Burrard, Granville or Cambie Bridges.
From the East
Both the Expo and Millennium Skytrain lines and the TransCanada Highway head into downtown from the East.
